Coinciding with the arrival of Yalda Night, the “Omid” Charity Association, as part of its ongoing support programs, distributed special Yalda-themed food and essential packages among 32 families residing in Urmia.
According to Omid Public Relations, these packages were prepared with the aim of meeting part of the basic needs of the families and included: 1 kg of grapes, 6 pieces of pasta, 2 kg of Iranian rice, 1 package of Halva, 1 bottle of cooking oil, one set of clothing, 1 kg of lentils, 1 kg of sugar, 1 chicken, and some rock candy. The estimated value of each relief package is approximately 25 million Rials.
Additionally, during this support initiative, for 9 of the covered families, through the efforts of a benevolent benefactor, a cash aid of 1 million Tomans per person was separately allocated and presented as cash envelopes.
The “Omid” Charity Association, focusing on targeted and continuous support for underprivileged communities, strives during national and religious occasions to reduce some of their livelihood pressures while preserving the dignity of families, and to guide benefactor participation transparently and effectively along the path of providing aid.
