Haematology Department

Omid Hospital’s Haematology Department provides specialist care for blood disorders and cancer in West Azerbaijan and welcomes international patients. Specialists and subspecialists use modern diagnostic equipment to assess and treat patients. Services include blood and blood-product transfusions, nursing care before, during and after chemotherapy, palliative care, and monitoring laboratory results with abnormal findings reported to the treating physician. Portable ultrasound and other imaging equipment assist the clinical team and support patient comfort. The department is located on the hospital’s second floor and has 15 inpatient beds: 14 general beds and one VIP bed.

Guidelines for Omid Hospital’s Haematology Department:

  •  Meals: breakfast at 06:00, lunch at 12:00 and dinner at 18:00; snacks at 09:00 and 15:00.
  • Please coordinate with the department before leaving the ward.
  • On admission, provide all medical documents, including laboratory results and summaries of previous records.
  • The hospital does not accept responsibility for valuables or cash held by patients or companions.
  • Medical records are released to the patient, or to an authorised legal guardian or close family caregiver with the patient’s consent.
