Scientific Activities

Omid Charity began its work as the Omid Research and Treatment Centre. Two government centres and a private centre also provide cancer treatment in Urmia. According to the charity’s own observations and activity records over 35 years, approximately 65% of cancer patients in West Azerbaijan have chosen Omid for diagnosis and treatment.

Omid’s work in research and treatment

Alongside clinical services, Omid Hospital’s specialists hold scientific seminars, conferences, meetings and committees to contribute to knowledge about cancer. The charity also publishes the specialist Omid journal and its internal magazine, Shoa-e Omid, to share information about cancer prevention, diagnosis, early medical consultation and treatment.
