Oncology Department

Omid Hospital’s Oncology Department provides specialist cancer care in West Azerbaijan and welcomes international patients from neighbouring countries. Its specialist physicians and diagnostic equipment support assessment, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and ongoing treatment. Services include transfusion of blood and blood products, nursing care before, during and after chemotherapy, palliative care, and monitoring laboratory results with abnormal findings reported to the treating physician. Portable ultrasound and other imaging equipment help the team assess patients while reducing the need for them to move between departments. The department is located on the hospital’s second floor and has 17 inpatient beds: 14 general beds, one VIP bed and two single-bed isolation rooms.
