Engineer Mojarrad, director-general of West Azerbaijan's provincial broadcasting organization, hosted Omid board members and officials for a friendly working discussion on cooperation in culture and health. He praised Omid's charitable activities and expressed readiness to assist the association.
The discussion reviewed Omid's 29-year history: pioneering cancer treatment through radiotherapy; national cancer charity recognition and a UNESCO award; its 30-suite residence offering free accommodation to patients from other cities; and its 100-bed specialist and subspecialist hospital, with capacity to expand to 130 beds. Other topics included cancer prevention conferences, the central importance of treatment quality, and the eight billion tomans spent on patients' medicines, treatment and support in 1397, Solar Hijri.
Current difficulties included limited Health Insurance reimbursements for services, greater needs following the hospital's opening, high medication and treatment costs, and insufficient public awareness of Omid's healthcare and support work.
Mojarrad offered assistance with joint health programs promoting disease awareness and prevention, engaging and motivational programming, and documentaries about Omid's donors. The association thanks him and his colleagues for their generous help and wishes the organization continued success.
With thanks, Omid Public Relations.
