According to the Public Relations Department of Omid Charity Association, coinciding with Social Work Day, a ceremony was held to honor the exemplary social workers of West Azerbaijan province, attended by provincial officials, university chancellors, health network heads, and hospital directors.
During this ceremony, Ms. Mina Abedini, a social worker at Omid Hospital, was introduced and honored as the model social worker of West Azerbaijan province in recognition of her dedication, professional commitment, and outstanding performance.
The event was attended by Dr. Moghaddasi, Chancellor of Urmia University of Medical Sciences; Dr. Niroomand, Deputy of Treatment at the university; Dr. Shaker, Director of Treatment; Dr. Valinejad, Vice President of Omid Charity Association; Dr. Salek, Head of Omid Hospital; Mr. Abbasi, Director of Omid Hospital; along with other provincial officials, hospital directors, and social workers from across the province.
As the only specialized charity cancer treatment center in the northwest of the country, Omid Hospital has always placed a strong emphasis on the role of social work in the treatment process, patient support, and the improvement of patients’ quality of life. This recognition reflects the commitment and specialized capabilities of the hospital’s social work team.
