Let us remember that we are all working to create a future without cancer, and the time to act is now.

In 2012, the United Nations designated an International Day of Charity to honor the valuable work of charitable organizations. The chosen date, 5 September, or 14 Shahrivar, marks the anniversary of Mother Teresa's death and recognizes her tireless humanitarian service.

Omid, the West Azerbaijan charity supporting people with cancer, began its work in 1369, Solar Hijri. At a time when relatively few international organizations were prioritizing collective awareness, it entered this vital field. After more than a quarter-century of sustained effort and with nearly 30 years of experience, it has expanded awareness across a large region of Iran and taken practical steps to assist patients in need.

Its work includes establishing one of the country's major specialist and subspecialist charity hospitals in Urmia and a 30-suite residence for patients in need, with services extending beyond national borders. Thousands of generous supporters have been essential to these achievements and to the association's humanitarian goals.

We are grateful for your efforts toward this shared purpose. Let us continue working for a future without cancer. With thanks, Omid Public Relations.
