West Azerbaijan Press House becomes Omid’s media partner

Omid Charity and West Azerbaijan Press House signed a media cooperation agreement. It was signed by their chief executives, Dr Javad Khoshabi and Yousef Pirboudaghi, who emphasized reporting on Omid's achievements to increase public awareness of the association.

The agreement aims to explain donors' contributions and patients' needs and introduce the diagnostic and treatment capabilities of Omid Hospital and its radiotherapy and chemotherapy clinic. Provincial journalists and news organizations will volunteer their services without payment, helping the charity provide material and emotional support to people with cancer who need assistance.

Participating news agencies, provincial newspapers and weeklies, national newspaper offices and major regional and national news websites committed to displaying Omid's logo on their websites. They will help introduce the largest community health organization in northwestern Iran and encourage donations.

At the end of the year, Omid and the Press House plan to recognize these contributions with a 'Charitable Journalist and Media' award and list the participating journalists and organizations on Omid's website. In Esfand, the first Omid news festival will be held in Urmia. Prominent national and provincial judges will assess outstanding work about the charity's goals and programs in categories including news, reporting, analysis and news photography.

Founded by Urmia philanthropists in 1369, Solar Hijri, Omid has spent nearly three decades supporting Iranian and international patients. Public support has enabled it to develop an advanced radiotherapy and chemotherapy complex, a specialist and subspecialist general hospital and a residence providing patients and companions with free accommodation and meals. These efforts help relieve the burden of illness, especially for people with cancer who need financial support.
