With donors' support, Omid Charity in Urmia purchased a generator to power hospital equipment during emergencies. When reliable essential services had become a public concern, community support strengthened the hospital's resilience and turned the 'Keep the Light of Hope On' campaign into a completed purchase.
The initial plan was to raise 18 billion tomans for a German generator. Because of price changes and limits on contributions, around 8.6 billion tomans were raised, and a Chinese-made generator was purchased instead.
The new 670-kilowatt Baudouin generator, made in China and equipped with an advanced exhaust silencer, is ready to help maintain a reliable supply quietly and keep hope alive for patients.
