Omid held a memorial for the late donor Maliheh Abdollahi Khayyat. According to Public Relations, the fortieth-day commemoration took place on Sunday, 4 Khordad 1404, Solar Hijri, at Omid's Scientific and Cultural Conference Hall. Board members, trustees, hospital staff, donors and relatives attended.
The ceremony began with a welcome and Quran recitation. Farsad, a neighbor, shared memories of Khayyat's modest and charitable life. A documentary, 'The Donor at No. 15, Vali Alley', presented aspects of her life and that of her brother as part of Omid's Stories of Generosity series.
Former board member Asadollah Habibi, who knew her, and Dr Saeed Samadzadeh, a founder and principal trustee, spoke about the importance of continuing charitable support to ease patients' suffering.
Khayyat donated her home to Omid to help fund treatment for people in need, leaving a lasting legacy of compassion.
