Omid received a certificate and commemorative award as one of West Azerbaijan's leading charities. The ceremony, organized by the Imam Khomeini Relief Committee at the governorate's Shahid Ataei hall, recognized its broad treatment, welfare and support services for families of patients with cancer throughout the province.
Presenting a report on provincial activities, Omid's chief executive emphasized cooperation among executive and service organizations. He described public support as the association's greatest asset. Over 30 years, it had enabled the construction and equipping of a radiotherapy clinic, the 100-bed Omid Hospital for cancer and other inpatient care, and a 30-suite residence offering free accommodation to patients in need and their companions. Other provincial charities were also honored.
Established in 1369, Solar Hijri, Omid had already received multiple awards for healthcare, welfare and household support across the province and country. These included recognition for national healthcare charity work, United Nations consultative status, exemplary cancer charity services, hospital construction and outstanding community organization activity.
