On 14 Mordad 1404, Solar Hijri, donors, social workers, media representatives and community charities from Piranshahr visited Omid's clinic, hospital and residence in Urmia. They learned about its free radiotherapy, cobalt therapy and accommodation services and brought food and hygiene supplies for residents.

Addressing the visitors, chief executive Sadeghi reviewed the association's 32 years of activity. He explained that donor-funded Omid Residence provides patients from across the province and their companions with accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner without charging families. Chemotherapy, injections and radiotherapy at Omid are also provided free to supported patients, although a course of radiotherapy costs an average of around 200 million tomans per patient. The Social Work Unit assists disadvantaged patients with medicines and portions of treatment expenses where necessary.

Sadeghi said charitable services in 1403 were valued at over 137 billion tomans, of which 6.8 billion supported patients from Piranshahr.

Public Relations director Dr Faegh Hosseini congratulated journalists on Journalists' Day and emphasized the media's role in public communication and humanitarian work. Without media cooperation, community organizations cannot build effective public relationships. He cited Omid's patient-support campaign in Miandoab, where media assistance helped raise 200 million tomans in less than 48 hours for a woman needing surgery.

He also introduced the 'Omid Ambassador' recognition for media partners and invited local outlets to work with branches on honest, compassionate news and awareness content supporting patients in need.

Fundraising manager Tohid Moghaddasi noted that Kurdish communities abroad and in major cities such as Tehran and Isfahan could become effective fundraising networks through annual meetings and communication groups. The media can facilitate and connect these networks.

Visitors distributed their gifts at Omid Residence and saw the difficulties of cancer treatment firsthand. The visit showed how lasting service is rooted in hope, compassion and public participation.
