Following Ramadan, generous worshippers across Iran, West Azerbaijan and Urmia donated more than seven billion rials through Zakat al-Fitr and compensation for missed fasts to support cancer care.
Omid Public Relations reported a total of 7,586,751,750 rials, received at four Urmia collection points, provincial and Tehran branches, the website's payment gateway and transfers to the association's bank accounts.
On behalf of patients and families in need, Omid thanks donors and national and regional media, including Asr Iran, for explaining its mission, reporting on its work and publicizing collection locations.
In 1400, Solar Hijri, public donations enabled Omid to spend more than 33 billion tomans on treatment, accommodation and household needs for families affected by cancer.
