At the annual meeting of the Urmia Guild Chamber, hosted by the Omid Charity Association, the heads of trade unions affirmed their serious commitment to fully support needy cancer patients.
According to Omid Public Relations, in the final days of September (Shahrivar), at the proposal of Mr. Masoumi, head of the Grocers Union, and the initiative of Mr. Akbari, head of the Urmia Guild Chamber, the Omid Charity Association hosted the annual meeting of the Urmia Guild Chamber.
During this annual meeting, trade-related issues were discussed, and alongside that, the vision for future interactions between Urmia guilds and Omid Charity was examined in a think-tank session.
One of the speakers at this think-tank session was Engineer Aziz Motaie, a member of the Board of Directors of Omid Charity. In his remarks, he introduced the public, especially the guilds, as the true owners of Omid Charity Association and said: “For years, we have witnessed unseen and impactful assistance in the path of the association’s goals. Guilds should know how much their small and large contributions can help the association alleviate the suffering of needy patients.”
Mr. Sadeghi, CEO of Omid Charity, addressing the heads of trade unions in Urmia, while noting the association’s full awareness of the economic difficulties faced by activists in this field, said: “Omid Charity Association accepts benefactors’ contributions with absolute welcome, regardless of size. The participation of benefactors in this blessed path will certainly bring many blessings in the field of cancer treatment and the welfare services of Omid’s residential hostel.”
After the think-tank session, the heads of Urmia trade unions visited various sections of the radiotherapy clinic and the emergency department of Omid Hospital to become more familiar with the quality of medical services provided to needy cancer patients.
This think-tank session, initiated by the marketing unit of Omid Charity Association with the aim of developing the association’s social capital and strengthening interactions with benefactors to create a sustainable infrastructure for meeting the needs of needy cancer patients, signified the beginning of a new chapter in the path of targeted cooperation between the association and the guild community and philanthropists.
